Workshop Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • The Workshop Supervisor oversees and manages workshop operations to ensure that trucks are available to meet sales targets and maintain commercial sustainability. The candidate must be a certified technician with shown expertise in servicing FAW, HOWO, and Shacman Trucks and other utility vehicles.
  • Supervising a team of mechanics to maintain the complete fleet of vehicles in optimal functioning condition and ensure their constant availability.
  • Organizing and implementing scheduled preventative maintenance for vehicles to optimize their lifespan and improve customer experience.
  • Ensuring sufficient inventory is maintained in stores to promptly replace parts and prevent procurement delays that could result in vehicles being unavailable for usage.
  • Ensure all maintenance operations are completed according to the original equipment manufacturer’s recommendations and the company’s established change-out procedures.
  • Providing timely and accurate reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis to the Operations Manager and General Manager to ensure all reports are up to date and show a clear understanding of the Workshop’s performance.
  • Supervising fuel levels and reordering thresholds to guarantee trucks are consistently fueled and prepared for activities.
  • Give input on the annual budget needed to operate the workshop and collaborate with the workshop team to guarantee budget adherence. Establish precise health and safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the workshop to promote a secure and healthy work environment.

  • Supervising a team of mechanics to maintain the complete fleet of vehicles in optimal functioning condition and ensure their constant availability.
  • Organizing and implementing scheduled preventative maintenance for vehicles to optimize their lifespan and improve customer experience.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office suites.
  • Excellent Communication Abilities.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrated job experience in a Large Fuel Transporting Company Proficient knowledge of logistics and transport.
  • High school diploma.
