Job Description:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to in the workplace. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Conducting safety assessments and audits on a regular basis and making recommendations for improvement.
Developing and implementing safety training programs for employees.
Investigating accidents and incidents and making recommendations to prevent future incidents.
Ensuring that all safety equipment and machinery is properly maintained and is in good working condition.
Conducting safety meetings with employees and management to discuss safety issues and concerns.
Maintaining accurate records of all safety-related incidents, accidents, and injuries.

Qualifications and Requirements:

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications and requirements:

Bachelor of Occupational Health, Safety and the Environment or related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Registered with a professional body.
Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good computer skills.
