Our client a luxury safari camp is looking for an experienced and dedicated Relief Assistant Camp Manager to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the safari camp, including guest services, staff supervision, and facility maintenance.
  • Provide leadership and support to camp staff, ensuring they are motivated, trained, and delivering high standards of service.
  • Oversee guest arrivals and departures, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out experiences.
  • Coordinate activities and excursions for guests, ensuring they have memorable and enjoyable safari experiences.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, striving to exceed guest expectations.
  • Assist with inventory management, procurement, and stock control to ensure adequate supplied are maintained.
  • Collaborate with the camp management team to develop and implement operational procedures and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of camp facilities and accommodations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, payroll processing, and record-keeping.
  • Uphold conservation and sustainability practices in camp operations, promoting responsible tourism initiatives.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the safari camp, embodying its values and delivering exceptional service at all times.

  • Previous experience in hospitality management, preferably in a luxury safari camp or similar environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • First aid certification and knowledge of emergency procedures (preferred).
