As a Lodge Receptionist, the role holder will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and efficient front desk environment that reflects the unique character of our lodge. You will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and providing assistance to ensure a delightful stay.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

– Warmly greet and welcome guests upon their arrival.

– Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

– Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from potential and current guests.

– Provide information about lodge amenities, services, and local attractions.

– Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications.

– Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are prepared for guest arrivals.

– Assist in maintaining a clean and organized lobby area.

– Handle guest requests and provide exceptional customer service.

– Collaborate with other lodge staff to ensure smooth operations.

– Assist with administrative tasks, including filing and data entry.

Qualifications, Skills, Proficiencies, Experience and Exposure

–        Grade 12 Certificate

–        1 year of experience as a Receptionist or in a customer service role.

–        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

–        Warm and welcoming personality.

–        Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

–        Proficient in using office equipment, including phones and computers.

–        Basic computer skills, including knowledge of reservation systems.

–        Ability to handle a high volume of calls and guests.

–        Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.

–        Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly at a lodge or hotel.

–        Knowledge of local attractions and activities for guest recommendations.
