An established and well recognized Insurance Company operating in Zambia, registered under the Laws of Zambia and licensed by the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA) to transact in General Insurance seeks individuals of impeccable credentials for the following positions:

1. INTERNAL AUDITOR – Lusaka

Looking for an objective Internal Auditor to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and sound judgement.

Main Responsibilities

a) Performing the full audit cycle (risk and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, compliance with all applicable laws policies, procedures and regulations and recommending corrective measures and improvements).

b) Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans

c) Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts e.t.c.

d) Preparing and presenting reports that reflect audit’s results and document process

e) Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement

f) The adequacy and effectiveness of the organization’s system of internal control and the quality of performance in carrying out assigned responsibilities

g) Maintaining open communication with management and Audit Committee

h) Undertaking periodic checks of operations in order to identify areas of vulnerable to inherent risks/fraud and make appropriate recommendations to avert such risks

i) Conducting follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions

j) Conducting spot check on various operations of the business

k) Ensuring compliance to group reporting deadlines and requirements.

Job Requirements and Technical skills

a) Proven working experience as Internal Auditor with business and industry experience and understanding

b) Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases

c) Risk Management and internal control understanding

d) Ability to use large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports

e) Budgeting, controlling and reporting

f) Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations

g) Five (5) years of work experience in an internal audit environment.

h) High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

i) Sound independent judgement

j) Accreditation with ZiCA or the Institute of Internal Auditors Zambia.

k) A degree in internal auditing, financial accounting, or financial management or

ACCA or ZICA or CIMA.

2. Administrative Assistant- Lusaka

The Administrative assistant / receptionist is responsible for providing administrative

support to ensure effective and efficient administrative operations at the head office

Main Responsibilities

a) Receive incoming and make outgoing telephone calls, routing them accordingly

and taking messages when the required staff are not available;

b) Receive and dispatch mail and any other correspondence.

c) Manage The CEOs dairy and filling at the CEOs office.

d) Take and circulate staff meeting minutes.

e) Handle clients’ enquiries and receive and direct visitors to respective staff;

f) Ensure that all telephone lines are in working order and report any faulty telephone lines to the Administration Support Coordinator;

g) Ensure timely maintenance of office equipment;

h) Prepare and serve refreshments to CEOs office and replenished as required;

i) Ensure and maintain maximum cleanliness of the reception area and the office at large;

j) Assist in photocopying, scanning and any other document management as may be requested by supervisor;

k) Ensure office security is maintained;

l) Purchase any kitchen and toiletries required for the Head Office in line with policies and procedures;

m) Maintain adequate stationery stocks and requesting replenishment in line with the policies and procedures; and

n) Run errands for the CEOs office in a time-efficient manner including following up on payment of office electricity, water & telephone bills and resolution of any disconnections.

Job Requirements and Technical Skills

a) Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration or equivalent.

b) At least 2 years’ experience in office administration or entry-level for graduates.

c) Strong Customer service skills

3.  CLAIMS EXECUTIVE – Lusaka

The Claims Executive will proactively manage claims, at the individual and portfolio level, to optimize, spend and achieve high levels of satisfaction for the insured and intermediaries through excellent client service.

Main Responsibilities

a) Accurate recording, registering and posting of new claims and processing within service standards.

b) Timely acknowledgement of claims.

c) Reserving adequately by setting initial reserves for new claims, closing files where payments and or recoveries have been made and revising reserves where there is new information.

d) Preparation of claims summary reports and giving opinion on liability.

e) Preparation of monthly reports as required by management.

f) Notifying management of any issue affecting the risk and where risk improvement measures are necessary.

g) Issuing discharge vouchers for fully documented claims.

h) Tracking all claims by regularly updating claims register, determining progress and advising customers of the status.

i) Raise payment requisition vouchers and forwarding the same for payment and tracking the progress.

j) Identifying recoveries at the point of claims registration and processing and issuing of demand letters.

k) Advising facultative and treaty reinsurers of new claims affecting them and regularly updating them on the progress.

l) Promptly attending to customer queries and obtaining feedback from customers and to ensure customer satisfaction.

m) Appoint service providers and issue repair orders as directed by the supervisor or claims manager.

n) Preparation of claims statistical monthly/ quarterly reports as directed.

o) Performing any other duties as required.

Job Requirements and Technical Skills

a) Graduate with business degree in insurance with over 2 years’ experience in a busy General Insurance claims department.

b) Good progress in Professional Insurance Qualifications

c) Good understanding of all classes of general Insurance

d) Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite

e) Analytical and organizational skills

f) Superior customer service

g) Report writing skills

h) Excellent communication both oral and written

i) Excellent interpersonal skills

j) Mature team player

4. Underwriting Executive- Lusaka

Responsible for the assessment and acceptance of insurance risks in accordance with laid down underwriting procedures in the company and to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to customers.

Main Responsibilities

a) Build and maintain business relationships and develop new opportunities in support of the companies objectives

b) Drafting policy documents and processing policy endorsements.

c) Issuing renewal documents and endorsements.

d) Processing debits and credits of all business booked within the month.

e) Provide an efficient and effective service to clients through maintenance of healthy and efficient communication by responding promptly to their enquiries.

f) Maintain all necessary records and laid down processes to ensure that premiums are paid promptly in line with approved credit policy.

g) Check and verifying proposal forms, risk notes and placing slips assessing risk quality to ensure that risks undertaken and assumptions made in the premium calculations conform to the companies underwriting policy guidelines.

h) Ensure competitive quotations and follow-up for closing instructions are prepared in good time.

i) Work In conjunction with reinsurance department, ensure compliance with reinsurance terms, conditions and exclusions.

j) Prepare policy documents for clients and ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities in the contract.

k) Maintain all necessary records and processes to ensure that premiums are paid promptly and that claims are efficiently processed in line with the company’s turn-around times and processes,

l) Agree contract terms with prospect in accordance with company guidelines and policy guidelines.

Job Requirements and Technical Skills

a) Bachelor’s degree in any business-related field.

b) Progress in professional insurance qualifications

c) At least 2 years insurance brokerage experience.

d) In-depth understanding of underwriting process and procedures

e) Superior Communication skills both written and oral;

f) Analytical skills

g) Excellent customer service.

5. Marketing Executive – Kabwe

The Marketing executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships. Leveraging expertise in insurance products and services to identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and deliver exceptional service to clients. This position requires a results-driven mindset, strong communication skills, with a deep understanding of the insurance industry.

Main Responsibilities

a) Identify and target potential clients within assigned territories or market segments.

b) Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other prospecting methods.

c) Conduct needs assessments and consultations to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

d) Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, insurance brokers, and industry partners.

e) Conduct meetings, presentations, and follow-up communications to engage clients
and address their needs.

f) Provide personalized service and support to clients throughout the sales process and
beyond.

g) Educate clients on insurance products, coverages, and policy features.

h) Customize insurance solutions to meet clients’ specific needs and objectives.

i) Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and recommendations to clients in a clear and
compelling manner.

j) Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and activity metrics set by management.

k) Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to drive business growth and market penetration.

l) Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and key performance indicators to measure progress and identify opportunities for improvement.

m) Work closely with underwriting, claims, and client services teams to ensure seamless
delivery of insurance solutions.

n) Communicate client feedback, market insights, and business opportunities to internal
stakeholders to inform product development and service enhancements.

o) Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the insurance industry.

p) Attend conferences, seminars, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to insurance products, sales techniques, and industry best practices.

Job requirements and technical skills

a) Grade 12 Certificate, Diploma in business administration, Insurance, marketing, finance, or a related field.

b) Proven track record of success in sales within the insurance industry, preferably in brokerage or agency environments.

c) Strong understanding of insurance products, coverages, and underwriting principles.

d) Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

e) Results-driven mindset with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

f) Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

g) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

h) Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
