The key purpose of this role is to manage warehouse stock and operations in order to service customers efficiently while coordinating and integrating efforts and resources available to ensure superior delivery accuracy to customers; manage logistics performance and activities in order to surpass delivery challenges while ensuring optimal utilization of company assets and minimizing cost.
Key outputs and responsibilities:

  • The primary function of this position is to oversee management of warehouse operations (Receipt, Storage, Replenishment, Shipping and Returns) and ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by managing, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals using the correct tools with VPO and DPO as the backbone;
  • In addition this position will also be instrumental in providing a strategic plan for the Lusaka warehouse and site as well as financial responsibility for warehouse costs;
  • Manage Raw Materials warehouse in Lusaka and make sure optimal stock levels to sustain production and manage costs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Key attributes and competencies:

  • High level of computer literacy (MS Office, Teams, etc.);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with good interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to adapt to change effectively;
  • Results oriented;
  • Excellent coaching capability;
  • Syspro knowledge will be advantageous;
  • Proven strong leadership capability.

Profile:

Education

  • Degree in Business related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in FMCG industry
