Overview

Health, Safety & Environment Manager

1. Contribute to the development and implementation of various HSE programs and procedures (ergonomics, lockout, inspections and scheduled audits, ) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
2. Exercise a leadership, coordination, and communication role with the location leadership to drive continuous HSE improvement across the location Complete root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans to address root basic causes and management system weak-spots through the use of industry-recognized cause analysis techniques
3. Leading and embedding a greater HSE focus and culture in all elements of our operations
4. Manage workers compensation, rehabilitation and fitness for work activities nationally and ensuring they are aligned with the broader HSE activities
5. Provide leadership and actively develop the skills and capability of the HSE Functional team
6. Ensure that systems for maintaining information and records relating to HSE across the company are utilized
7. Continually identify and implement opportunities to improve HSE across the company
8. Stay up to date with latest available software developments
9. Conduct verification assessments of suppliers’ completed Higg Self Assessments and provide guidance to the suppliers in driving improvements
