JOB PURPOSE

 

To drive the development of Ecosystems in the Commercial Division in order to deliver a financially viable business that centralizes the client’s journey and ensures effective optimization of all relationships across all segments.

Deliver the Bank in Ecosystems strategy by creating Client Service Models that deploy Client Engagement Teams (CETs). Create a unified strategy that speak to ecosystems mining, and implement the Banks Ecosystems strategy.

Act as a central point of contact/liaison for information, analytics, trends and updates on client ecosystem journeys. Develop and manage Zanaco Banks Ecosystems framework.

Requirements

Under the supervision of the Chief Commercial Officer the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own a commercial Ecosystem strategy in collaboration with business unit heads to achieve the Commercial and overall bank’s Ecosystem ambitions
  • Develop Ecosystem mining goals with accompanying plans for their achievement and ensure tracking of key business performance indicators
  • Interact with external strategic partners and stakeholders such as regulators, independent reviewers and development institutions in regards to understanding how Zanaco’s ecosystem framework and strategy operates within the regulatory and financial frameworks.
  • Act as central Ecosystems liaison for Commercial and drive collaboration with other functions to achieve the bank’s financial goals
  • Stay abreast of market developments and recommend initiatives and frameworks for adoption by the business
  • Manage a central repository of all ecosystem client journeys, and be the central point of coordination for all portfolio synergies with clients.
  • Train and develop knowledge pockets, at analyst and head level, with regards to ecosystem mining, relationship management and portfolio interplay to enable the execution of strategy.
  • Provide analytical support to commercial business units on Ecosystems including screening, identification and adoption of all prospective and acquired business portfolios.
  • Identification and management of ESG risks in the business and ecosystems portfolio.
  • Conduct an audit of existing client relationships with a view to enabling an alignment to the ecosystem framework where the lack of it exists.
  • Ensure the business drives deliberate ecosystems mining strategies and monitor the output of those ecosystems.
  • To enable the mining of ecosystems upstream and downstream value chains with a view to creating higher value for clients and the Bank overall.
  • Coordinate internal liaisons between client interacting Divisions and their resources to deliver a unified response to client/customer demands e.g. Credit, Client Solutions, Digital Banking, Commercial Division both Retail and Corporate.
  • Identify and provide opportunities for ecosystem mining by engaging the businesses frequently and co-engaging on client visits, engagements and interactions.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders within the businesses to ensure the Bank remains consistent in driving its client journeys and strategy.
  • Review of departmental strategies and CVPs (Customer Value propositions) and identify opportunities for the businesses to improve and grow their businesses collectively.
  • Provide monthly MIS and reports on Ecosystems to the business, including monthly briefs, virtual connect calls and FAQs to enable the business insights.
  • Lead preparation and timely submission of reports as required by Chief Commercial Officer, Management Board, Board of Directors and other relevant committees
  • Conduct evaluations value of existing and potential partnerships to maximize value for customers and the bank.
  • Ensure effective processes are in place to deliver the Commercial Division CVP and that relevant service level agreements are adhered to.
  • Review all the departmental charters, strategies and provide quarterly reporting on product health, alignment to customer needs, opportunities, strengths, weaknesses and threats.
    • Build staff capacity by identify training needs and the appropriate training interventions to address knowledge gaps.
    • Develop and drive initiatives to increase staff awareness on ecosystem mining.
    • Promote an ecosystems mindset in the Commercial Division business processes and ways-of-working
    • Responsible for overall management of all costs and related expenditure in delivery of the ecosystem deliverables of the Commercial Division.

      • Eight (8) years relevant experience preferably in a banking environment
      • Experience in sustainable/development finance, corporate sustainability, or climate/environmental policy as an added advantage:JOB CORE COMPETENCIES
