Facilities Manager

The successful candidate will be required to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of all facilities within the club premises, including but not limited to a futsal pitch, gymnasium, bar, basketball court, tennis court, swimming pool, soccer pitch, banquet hall, and golf course. The ideal candidate will ensure that all facilities are well-maintained, safe, and meet the highest standards to enhance the overall experience of Patrons. This role will be reporting to Accountant Non-Core Assets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal facility functionality.
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades with maintenance staff and external contractors.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections, addressing maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Manage the facilities budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating maintenance contracts.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff, providing leadership and conducting performance evaluations in collaboration with CEC HR Team.
  • Collaborate with the events management team to ensure facilities meet event requirements and coordinate with vendors.
  • Respond to member inquiries and maintain high cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Promote environmental sustainability and educate staff and members on its importance.

To be successful in this role, you will be required to have:

  • Diploma in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a club or recreational facility setting.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and best practices for facility management.
  • Proficiency in budget management, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in facilities management or related field (desired).
  • Familiarity with sports facilities and equipment (e.g. futsal pitch, gymnasium, tennis court) is a plus.
