Good Time Steel is a group of companies with African Power Coal Mine being a subsidiary company. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Assistant Human Resources Specialist to support our HR team and contribute to our mission of excellence at African Power Coal Mine.

Job Description:
As an Assistant Human Resources Specialist at African Power Coal Mine, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and benefits administration. You will work closely with the HR team to ensure that our HR operations run smoothly and efficiently, providing a positive experience for all employees.

Responsibilities:
– Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
– Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and assisting with training sessions
– Maintain and update employee records in HRIS (Human Resources Information System)
– Help coordinate employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and policies
– Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events
– Support the performance review process by helping to collect and organize evaluation materials
– Address employee questions and concerns, directing them to appropriate HR staff as necessary
– Assist in ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies
– Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and managing HR correspondence

Qualifications:
– A diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
– Previous experience in an HR or administrative role is a plus
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
