VACANCY : Airtel Money IT Operations Team Lead

LEVEL : Assistant Manager

LOCATION : Lusaka, HQ

JOB PURPOSE

To manage Airtel Money IT operations which includes partner support, business teams support i.e. Customer Experience, Airtel Money Finance and Airtel Money Operations. To sure we achieve maximum uptime by monitoring systems aligning all required teams for change activities. To ensure that systems in scope are aligned with business requirements, appropriately integrated, supported and deliver the functional and performance required to achieve business goals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

  • • Monitoring resources i.e. system databases, system resources i.e. Central Processing Unit usage, finance systems data, Partner transaction trends.
  • • Supporting Airtel Money partner queries and incidents.
  • • Preparing Airtel Money Database queries and reports for staff and partners.
  • • Data and providing business intelligence through information in the Airtel Money database.
  • • Airtel Money Project support.
  • • Aligning Airtel Money internal partner teams for incidences that impact service.
  • • Aligning business and Airtel Money partner teams for Activities that have service down time.
  • • Supporting and closing all Airtel Money Service requests and incidents within service level agreements.
  • • Support on the Airtel Money monthly maintenance activities.
  • • Following up with Airtel Money partners to get Root cause analyses for major incidents.
  • • Alerting Airtel Money business teams on alerts that need their closure.
  • • Tracking and closing Airtel Money issues raised in standup meetings.
  • • Testing Airtel Money 3rd party integrations and system enhancements by the projects team.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills

  • • University Degree in Computer Science or any other related disciplines.
  • • A Professional qualification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or SIX Sigma with a focus on IT will be an added advantage.

Relevant Experience:

  • • At least 4 years’ experience preferably within the Telecoms industry.
  • • Experience in databases, analytics, and system integration.
  • • Experience in software programming.
  • • Experience in managing diverse and complex platforms and environments.
  • • Experience managing technology partners.

  • • Skills in managing and coordinating the resolution of IT incidents and outages, including escalation procedures.
  • • Ability to generate and present reports on IT operations, performance, and incidents to management and stakeholders.
  • • A commitment to staying up to date with industry trends and technologies through training, certifications, and self-directed learning.
