Accountant

Our client who is in the retail industry is looking for a qualified accountant to join their team. As an accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with Zambian accounting laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare financial statements.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries and statutory deductions.

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.

Prepare and submit tax returns in compliance with Zambian tax laws.

Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.

Stay updated with changes in Zambian accounting standards and regulations.

Skills:

Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite.

Strong knowledge of Zambian accounting laws and regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
